Seal-watching tour on Lolland’s south coast

South Coast Beaches

Bredfjed Beach is just a short bike ride from Hages Badehotel and is perfect for peaceful walks or a swim from the bathing pier. If you’re looking for a beach with cafés and restaurants, Kramnitze and Hummingen on the south coast are both excellent options. Veststranden is the closest beach within walking distance from Hages Badehotel, but due to the Fehmarn Belt project, this beach is currently closed. In the meantime, you can visit the 217-meter-long viewing platform "Pilen," which offers a stunning panorama of the sea and coastline.

Bringing your dog?

At our hotel, you and your four-legged friend will find the perfect setting for an unforgettable stay. There’s plenty of space, green outdoor areas, and nature right outside your door. Take your dog on a scenic walk along the historic dike, built after the 1872 storm surge and now the longest in Denmark. From here, you can enjoy the view—a peaceful, nature-filled experience that makes your stay truly special.

Maribo Lakes Nature Park

Explore Maribo Lakes Nature Park, where you can hike through its unique landscapes and spot the many nesting birds that call the area home, including sea eagles, common terns, and black-headed gulls. You can also rent a canoe and paddle around the lakes.

Hiking trails on Lolland

The Santiago Pilgrimage Route—one of Denmark’s most famous hiking trails—ends in the idyllic surroundings near Hages Badehotel. You can also enjoy a scenic day hike along the Kramnitze Dike, a 10 km route in the local area, which can be rounded off with a refreshing dip in the sea.
